These changes will most likely affect fewer developers, but they include some pitfalls that are critical if you are using certain features. They include the deprecation of redirect_to(:back), the handling of templates which do not have a handler extension, the deprecation of Relation#uniq, removal of serialized_attributes, no support for protected_attributes or activerecord-deprecated_finders, and moving test methods #assigns and #assert_template to a RubyGem.
