Enumerable#pluck

Enumerable#pluck: Ruby on Rails 5 New Features
Enumerable#pluck: Ruby on Rails 5 New Features

Enumerable#pluck is a new method in Ruby on Rails 5 which is similar to ActiveRecord#pluck. ActiveRecord#pluck always fires a new database query, even if the objects have been loaded previously. Enumerable#pluck returns values from arrays and hashes in the same way, which allows developers to write methods which can work on either an array or loaded objects or on an unloaded scope. If the objects are loaded, then it doesn’t need to make a second SQL query.
