Changes to parameters

Changes to parameters: Ruby on Rails 5 New Features
Changes to parameters: Ruby on Rails 5 New Features

The are important changes to the strong parameters code in Ruby on Rails 5. Parameters no longer inherit from HashWithIndifferentAccess, instead they are a standalone Parameters class. Developers can still set and get values like a hash, but methods such as slice, except, extract, select, reject, and merge no longer allow access to the values unless the values have been permitted or unless the object is converted to a simple hash using the #to_unsafe_h method.
