ActiveRecord Secure Tokens: Ruby on Rails 5 New Features

ActiveRecord’s new secure tokens feature in Ruby on Rails 5 makes it easy to create unique, random tokens for use in application models. Secure tokens are commonly used for invitations, user registrations, resetting lost passwords, and other forms of token-based authentication. Kevin shows how to create a token database column and how adding has_secure_token to a model will automatically generate, and allow developers to regenerate, a 24-character random string using SecureRandom::base58 encoding.
