Using the Sweep 1 Rail or Sweep 2 Rail options
In this video, we'll investigate the Railsweep commands. The one rail and the two rail sweep. Both of these can create surfaces that are either flat and mechanical, or smooth and organic. We'll take a look at both kinds of these surfaces for each Rail command. Now since our spaceship is mostly mechanical, we're going to take a little detour here and demonstrate some sweeps that are much more organic. I'm going to turn off that ship, zoom in here, and do a few one rail sweeps. Over on the surface Creation toolbar, here's the one and two rail sweep right next to each other. Let's just start this and see what happens. Asking for a rail and a cross section. I've got two down here, I'm going to pick this rounded one first, and accept. Now the first result, is super accurately you notice a lot of ISO curves. I love using this simple option here, preview that you can see the difference.
