Organizing a project using layers

In this video, we'll review Rhino's layers. The properties of organized and clearly-labeled layers can greatly enhance your workflow. And, just as important, reduce errors and confusion. If you've used 2D software like Photoshop or Illustrator, great news, the layers work just the same. But, we have lots of nice little additions. So, just a request for everyone out there. If you're starting a file, please do not do all of your work on the default layer. You've got to have a couple more than that, please. So first, before we talk about the layered panel on the right side, let's go look at the little mini layers down here at the bottom. So, this tells us right off the bat the current layer and its color, and if we click on it. You can actually move around here and actually change the current layer, that's the check mark. Change the color and we have a light bulb for whether it's on or off. Turn off all the geometry. And the little padlock, that's to lock it so that you can't make any…
