Organizing layers
- [Instructor] A majority of this model will be constructed out of laser-cut pieces. So for instance this wall will be made out of 1/8 inch thick basswood. So to organize that I'll create a layer right here with new layer called 1/8 basswood. And I'll put all of my modeling components made out of that material into this layer. I'll also make a series of corresponding layers to each one of the building materials that I planned on using in this physical model. Having layers like this will help us organize individual materials for laser cutting. I'm going to go ahead and create those layers now. So I've created a list of layers that are going to hold my individual building components. So for instance this layer's going to hold my 1/32 inch thick paper material. And I also have my layers relatively grouped by material type. So here I have all of my basswood listed in order from least thick to thickest and I also have…
