Navigating the geometry menus

In this video, we'll review the organization structure of Rhino's pull-down menus at the top of the screen. This is actually a great place to find and learn new commands, but also understand their logical relationship to each other. I use an analogy I call the department store. You classify each of the three Rhino entities as being located in their own department, so we have a department for curves, surfaces, and solids. Let's take a look. Just Curve Department > Surface And Solid. This department store then has levels, where we find all of the new geometry for creating on the top levels, and all of the existing geometry for editing on the lower levels. Let's review each of these along with a simple example to demonstrate. Also, the new and improved toolbar tabs at the top are also arranged into the same structure. But you might get slowed down by the fact they use icons. So it takes a little longer to learn the command without seeing the text. But a short hover will reveal the text…
