Rhino users often import files made in Illustrator, primarily using curves and/or logos. Learn about how file units are verified in order to reduce errors, and how remaining errors are manually reviewed and fixed.
- [Instructor] Do not adjust your viewing screen.…We are in Adobe Illustrator.…Since we're going to import curves…to Rhino from Illustrator…let's take a look at the originating file.…Now we have a couple of different kinds…of entities here we're looking at.…Notice we have a graphic image, or bitmap.…That will not make it.…Instead the focus will be primarily on curves.…We've got a little wiggle curve here.…Another curve there.…So it will be interesting to note…how those arrive inside Rhino,…because we have different colors and strokes.…
Also, we have text.…Now this text here is editable,…which means I can click on it…and start typing in different letters.…So that can be very handy.…However, these curves will not arrive inside Rhino.…Instead, we need to convert every character to a path.…We do that by the Type, Create Outlines command,…that is up here on the top.…So you'll select an editable font,…and it gets converted to lines around the outside.…Also note this Illustrator file…has a specific size.…
A lot of times people will work on…
