Grid snap settings
- [Instructor] Rhino's grid snap feature gives a huge leg up to modelers that need precise alignment and measurements in their files. To help us practice with grid snapping, I've got the exercise file modeling-gridsnap.3dm open. Here, we've got a few models of a chess set, and maybe I'm at the point in my design where I'd like to start thinking about what the chess board is going to look like. You can tell I've thought a little bit about this already, just in terms of the way these are lined up and the way that my grid spacing is set up. So maybe I want each square to line up with the major grid lines, and that's 10 units. In this case, my units are centimeters. Let's go ahead with no snapping activated. My grid snap is off. All of my object snaps are disabled. Let's just try to draw out some squares. Let's go to curve, rectangle, corner to corner. Now I'd like this to be as precise as possible. So I'd like each…
