- Rhino 5 for Mac integrates two newer features from OSX…for managing files.…Autosave and Versions.…Now these features behave quite differently…than what you might be used to in Rhino for Windows.…It's additionally a little bit confusing…since not all programs that run on a Mac…operate this way and, in fact, some programs…use the same terms, Autosave and Versions,…to describe different things.…In the long run though, these changes are actually…really helpful to avoid, say losing data in a crash…and to help make sure that what you see on screen…is the same as what's saved in your Rhino file.…
Let's talk first a little bit about OSX Autosave.…So this feature automatically saves your file…in the background about every five minutes or so,…also anytime you pause working or switch to…another application.…And Autosave in OSX overwrites your main file.…Now this is different than autosaving in Windows…where Rhino would save an additional backup file…to a separate location.…In OSX, Autosave is a little bit more like someone coming…
