Extruding curves to create features in a model
In this video, we'll take a look at the Extrude command, which you will master immediately, as it is one of the easiest and quickest ways to make a 3D surface from any 2D curve. I'm also going to introduce two additional commands, the Offset and the Surface From Planar Curves. These are two of the more useful commands, and they are so darn handy, I use em all the time with the other surfacing commands. Okay, brief intro, be making this rear view mirror for our turtle space ship. Now if you can believe this, I'm going to build the entire shape with one or two curves, depending on how you count. So let's get started. First shape I'm going to make is a rectangle, but I'm going to do the two options I love the most, center and rounded. Got my o snaps on at the very bottom. So I'm snapping to points, probably all I need. So it starts off in the center, which is very nice. I'm going to snap to that corner, or I can type in dimensions, that's cool too. Then it's asking now for the rounded…
