- Thanks to Rhino student Lee for this demo idea.…In this lesson, we cover one of my favorite…and easiest strategies to build models faster.…The name I use is build it bigger, then trim it back.…Yeah, not so catchy, but you'll just love how this works.…We're going to use it to create a single complex design…by using multiple simpler shapes…and intersect them or overlap them.…First, let's talk about how most people might approach this…and why it doesn't work as well.…
So, the objective here is to have a heart-shaped protrusion…popping off of the penguin.…I've got the geometry down here at the bottom…with some details on how to build it…if you're interested.…So, a lot of people will do projecting onto the shapes…but this is kind of off-center.…The projection might not go perfectly.…So, one thing I just want to point out is an approach here,…that might work for some examples is the pullback.…Let's do that quickly,…and then we'll show you the better way to do this.…So, we'll go to the curves from object,…We can access it a couple different places.…
