Comparing blending and filleting

In this next Surfacing video, we will learn how a blend can be used to create a superior transition between two pieces of geometry. Whether they're organic or otherwise. But first, let's give a little demonstration of the difference between a fill and a blend, so we can understand how they apply to surfaces. I'm going to go up to the curve tools menu. And select Fillet Curves. Change the radius here to 20. I'll just pick the two sides. So leave that alone for a second. We'll now go do a blend on two similar curves. Find that over here. Right-click to get the blend curves. 'Kay. Now before we compare, I'd like to turn the control points. F10. And note the difference, though. It's basically a degree. So this is a actually a small segment of an arc. This has more control points. This is trying to maintain continuity from both of the curves on either side. So that's the same way it works with surfaces. Let's go ahead and turn on our geometry layer so we can do some work there. Also turn…
