- This week, I want to talk about managing links within work share-enabled projects. Now I'm going to be working with an exercise file that I've saved on my D-Drive. So if you happen to have a D-Drive, what you can do is actually create a folder called Projects and copy my exercise files into that folder and if you do that, you should be able to open them without any warnings. However, there's still a pretty good chance that when you're opening My Central File, it might recognize that the computer that it was created on is different than the one you're opening it from. And it might generate a warning to indicate that. So if that's the case, you just simply need to do a Save As and a Save the File as a new central file. So you can do that here, under Options. You can check this box and give it a new name if you wish. If you do that, you should be able to create a local file from that file and work with it just fine.
