Working with slope arrows
- [Instructor] In this video, I want to talk about slope arrows. Now slope arrows are available inside the sketch and they allow you to define slope in an alternative way to using slope defining edges. If you watch the videos on creating footprint roof, you may recall that we were able to toggle on slope defining edges and then those edges behave kind of like a hinge so for example, if I select this roof right here and I do edit footprint, and I click one of these edges and turn on to find slope, that edge becomes a hinge and I'd get a shed roof there that hinged up from that point. Now if I turn that off of course, I've got a completely flat roof and that's what I'm going to do to get started here. You could use a slope arrow to define the same shed roof but where I find a slope arrow really compelling is to define the shapes of roofs that would be difficult to do using the traditional slope defining edge.
