- [Instructor] So just what's so special about Revit anyway? Well, we could answer that question a lot of different ways, but in this video I want to focus on what I think is one of the key benefits of working in Revit, and, frankly, in working in a BIM paradigm, and that is the single coordinated building model. Now what I mean by that is we have a single model representing our actual building project, and if we make a change in one view, those changes will immediately be reflected anywhere throughout the model. You're probably used to spending a lot of time working in various kinds of drawings, floorplans, elevations, sections, 3D drawings, so what I mean when I say views is, if I make a change in a floorplan, that change will immediately be reflected in elevation or in 3D. So in order to demonstrate that, let's get some more views open. If you look over here on your interface, you've got a Project Browser. This is how you can navigate around the project.
