What you should know before watching this course
- [Instructor] So what should you know before starting this particular Revit course? Well, one of the things that you should know is that I will be using the latest version of Revit for this particular course at this particular time, which is Revit 2018. Now, when it comes to my CAD drawings as well, I'll be using the latest version of AutoCAD, which again is AutoCAD 2018. Now, just be aware of that. That's an important thing to consider when you're working with Revit. Revit only works with that particular file version. The RVT file that I've got open right now in Revit 2018 will only open up in Revit 2018. You cannot save back, it's not backwards compatible. You will need to make sure that you're running Revit 2018 and AutoCAD 2018 to actually take this particular course. The idea being is I want to make sure that I show you all of the latest things and bits and bobs that are in Revit 2018 when it comes to obviously importing and linking your CAD drawings into Revit. Just be aware of that one when you're working in this course. You must be using Revit 2018 and Revit 2018 RVT files, and also I'll be using for the CAD files AutoCAD 2018.
