- [Instructor] So what should you know before you take this particular course? Well, ideally, you should have a basic working knowledge of the Revit software. You should have taken, for example, the Revit Essential Training Course from the library before you consider taking this course. The reason being is that I do talk about methodologies and certain terminology within Revit that you might not understand if you haven't done that essential training first. So, ideally, you should know your Revit basics first. So go take that Revit Essential Training Course. Secondly, what you should know as well is that we are using the Revit 2019 version of the software for this particular course. Now the reason that we've done that is purely because it has the functionality that we need for this particular course, but also you need to know that any versions of Revit previous to Revit 2019 won't be able to read the exercise files. That's because Revit is not backwards compatible like a lot of the other autodesk software. So be aware that we are using Revit 2019 for this particular course as well.
