View extents and crop regions
- [Instructor] In this video, let's discuss crop regions. Crop regions allow you to limit the display of the area within a particular view. So views can either be uncropped, where it will essentially show you the full extent of the building infinitely, or they can be cropped down to certain smaller areas. Now this particular view that I currently have is not cropped, so what I'm going to do is type Z-O, which is Zoom Out, two times. And that's going to give me more room all the way around the building, and I'm going to add a wall just kind of off to the side over here. Now if I do Zoom Out two times even more, and then I draw another wall, notice that I could keep doing this and these walls continue to display. In other words, this view is not cropped, therefore I can keep zooming out, zooming out, and adding more and more geometry if I wanted to, and Revit will happily comply. Now I'm going to delete this wall, but I'll keep this one, and now what I want to do is turn on the cropping…
