Using snaps

- [Instructor] This video, I want to talk about snaps. Now we have two kinds of snapping behavior that I want to focus on, increments snapping and objects snapping. With increments snapping you designate certain distances and then the cursor will automatically snap to multiples of that distance. And with objects snapping, the cursor is on the lookout for certain geometric points on existing geometry things like endpoints, midpoint centers, and so on. So let's start with increments snapping, increments snapping is tied to the zoom level in the view. So what I'm going to do is zoom out a little bit here so I can demonstrate it for you. So I'm going to do Z O which is the keyboard shortcut for zoom out two times. So if you prefer you can get it over here on the navigation bar. Now snapping works with any geometry but I'm going to just draw some simple walls. So I'm going to run the wall command or you can type w a and then up…
