Using the shape editing tools to create a flat roof

- [Instructor] In this video I want to show you an alternative way to create slope and that is using tools called the shape editing tools. I'm going to demonstrate them using roofs here but the shape editing tools actually support floor elements as well. So everything I show you here with roofs would work with floors. So lets start by talking about what's required to use the shape editing tools. I've got some roofs here in this file and if we click this one over here on the left that's already got some sloping defined in it and you look at your modified tab, notice you've got a single button edit footprint on the mode panel. Now contrast that to these two roofs that we have over here and over here. If I select either one of those notice that in addition to the mode panel and its edit footprint we now have a shape editing panel with several shape modification tools.
