- [Instructor] If you're going to build any kind of robust family content then you need to understand the tools that you have at your disposal. What I have here on screen is a family that contains one of each of the five forms that are available to us. An extrusion, a blend, a revolve, a sweep and swept blend. So this is an extrusion right here this is a blend, this is a revolve, this is a sweep, and a swept blend here. Now I want to dig into some of the features of each of these forms a little bit because what I really want to talk about here in this video is the concept of profiles and the use of profiles to help us shape form. Now the extrusion and the blend are probably our two simplest forms and those we've seen already you just simply edit them and you have a sketch here that you can modify and then you can give it a height. When we look at the blend it's the same thing, you can edit the sketch at the top or the base and then again its given a height to create the solid form…
