- So, you want to build your own custom REVIT template, but where should you start? Well, a good approach is to look at some existing templates to get some ideas of the kind of things you can include. Some of the template files provided with the software offer a good place to begin these explorations. So, I'm going to be opening up and looking at some of the template files that are provided with the U.S. imperial installation of REVIT. You may have a different version of REVIT depending on your location, or what country you are in, so if you want to see the exact same files that I'm showing on my screen, you can actually download these templates from the AUTODESK Seek website, and I have that open here in the background, so this is AUTODESK Seek. You can type it into any web browser, seek.autodesk.com, and, then, there's a search box, and I've got Americas chosen here for the filter, and I've typed in the word "Template," and, as you can see, it's coming up with several different…
