Using global parameters to control slanted wall parameters

- [Instructor] This week, I want to revisit the concept of global parameters and I thought I would do that by picking up where we left off in last week's tip. Now, if you didn't do last week's tip, it was some examples where we were inputting formulas directly into the dimension values and other geometric values directly on screen and Revit was running those calculations on the fly and applying them for us. The trouble with that approach is that it doesn't preserve the formula. So if something changes later, you have to input the formula value all over again and that can start to get tedious if you're actively modifying the model. Now, the example I was using was slanted walls and I'm going to stick with that here this week but in order to use slanted walls, you need to have Revit 2021 or later. So if you don't have Revit 2021, then you can follow along with your own files and just use different geometry instead of slanted walls. Now, let me just show you what we have here. I'm going…
