Using the exercise files

If you're a premium member of lynda.com, you have access to the exercise files used throughout this course. The exercise files are here on my desktop in a folder called Exercise Files and I've got a folder for each of the chapters. Within those chapter folders, you'll find various Revit files. Throughout each chapter and each movie, I'll mention which file I'm in and which one you should open. Now I want to talk briefly about units. I've deliberately saved each of these files using a decimal unit system. Now specifically its decimal feet. But because units are not critical to any of the topics we're going to talk about. It really doesn't matter what the unit is set to. I've set them to decimal so that both imperial and metric users can feel comfortable simply typing in whole numbers and not having to worry about what the unit is. So I hope you'll find this solution easy to use. If you're not a premium subscriber to lynda.com, you don't have access to the exercise files but you can follow along from scratch with your own files. So let's get started.
