Using cutaway views

[Instructor] In this video, I'm going to talk about creating cut away axonometric views. There can be lots of reasons why you might want to do this but these cut away views are excellent for being able to kind of peer into the model and study it from different vantage points and be able to just see how things are shaping up so they're really great working views, but they can also be really nice presentation views as well. I'm going to show you three methods to do this and it's not exactly good, better, or best but it kind of is. So I'm going to start with the completely manual way to create one of these cut away 3D views. So I'll click on the default 3D view and that will take us to an axonometric of the entire building and its site and of course we're out here, kind of far away. Now I'm going to leave it zoomed out really far away like that because the first step is to come over here on the properties pallet, make sure nothing is selected here in the view, and just check this box…
