- [Instructor] We're starting a new chapter now in our course and we're going to be looking at the properties of our linked CAD file in our Revit project. We've got a new Revit project for you. It's 08_Simple Building Project.rvt file. Make sure you download that from the website and store it in a known location. Also make sure that your linked CAD file, your DWG file, is also in the same folder. That way you can maintain the relative file path as well. If I go to the insert tab there on the ribbon and go to manage links in the link panel and go to CAD formats there, you can see there's the 08 ground floor plan.dwg file. Download that as well using the exercise files on the website and make sure it's in the same location as the RVT file. You can see it's loaded, and you can see the save path and you can see the path type is relative because they should be in the same folder. When you open up this RVT file it'll automatically go and look for that ground floor plan, so just make sure…
