- [Instructor] I had a client ask me, recently, to clarify the difference between these two options when you reload a family into a project. So, no doubt, if you've ever reloaded a family, you've seen this dialog before, and there's these two options here, do you want to overwrite the existing version, or do you want to overwrite the existing version and its parameter values. Now, the simplest way to explain this is the top one is reloading the family only, where the bottom one is reloading both the family and its types. So, let me demonstrate what we actually mean by that. So, I'll do a really simple example, here. I've got these casework items, here, and I'm going to select this base cabinet. You can use any file for this, but I'm going to just use this simple piece of casework, here, and I'll choose edit family. Now, I'm going to make two changes to this family.
