Understanding Revit line weight settings

Understanding Revit line weight settings: Revit: Tips, Tricks, and Troubleshooting
Understanding Revit line weight settings: Revit: Tips, Tricks, and Troubleshooting

Line weight settings in Revit can sometimes be confusing to new users. This is because the same elements in your model are used to generate views and drawings at multiple scales. This often means that a pen 2 or pen 3 might need to be printed at varying thicknesses depending on the view's scale. This is built in to Revit with the Line Weight Settings dialog. The best way to evaluate the settings is to create a file with samples of each pen and print them out on a physical printer.
