Tagging framing
- Generally, Revit will tag your beams automatically. Sometimes, however, we need to manually tag them ourselves. What this video illustrates is how to manually tag a beam. We'll configure the beam systems annotation dialog to do so. So let's jump into Revit, under our Structural plans, let's go up to the Roof level. Let's zoom in on this bay. On the tag panel, let's click the Beam Annotations button. For placement, we'll tag all beams in current plan view, and then we'll remove existing beam tags and spot elevations. So let's get started. For the start, let's click on the Builder button. Let's select Spot Elevation. Let's use Beam Elevation Relative. Relative Base is Current Level. Then click Okay. The other end, let's click on the Builder Button, Spot Elevation, Beam Elevation Relative, and let's click Okay. For the bottom middle, let's click the Builder Button here, and let's just select None. Let's click Okay, and then let's click Okay. That's a lot of annotation. Now we can see…
