Spindle
- [Instructor] This one will be a custom baluster. I still like calling them spindles so I'm going to call it spindle. This video has us creating a revolve. That's easy enough but we need to get a virtual chop saw and figure out how to cut the tops and bottoms. Let's open up Revit and if you're following along with my exercise files, let's go to open. Browse to where you're keeping your exercise files, find the Revit project called spindle then click open. Now let's go to the file tab, let's go to new, family, lets grab the baluster.rft. Click open. Now the first thing I'd like to do is kind of create a cutoff distance. I usually go around two inches. Let's right click on this reference plane and create similar. On the drop panel let's click on pick lines. For the offset let's go two inches. I will offset this up, and I will offset this one down. I'm going to click align dimension, the dimension from here to here and I will dimension from my ref level down to here. Hit escape, hold…
