Shared parameters for tags

- [Instructor] Sometimes when you create a custom tag, you want it to actually report parameters that are not readily available. Now, there's lots of different kinds of parameters in Revit. We have built in parameters, which are available from the system and can appear anywhere. They can appear in tags or schedules, so those are really the best kind and they occur for everybody using Revit. But, we also have lots of situations where we create our own custom parameters. Now when you create custom parameters, you can actually do that in such a way that those custom parameters only exist in the piece of content that you add them to, or they can be created in a little bit more global fashion. Well, if you want your custom parameter to show up in a tag or a schedule, then you typically want to create it in a fashion called a shared parameter.
