Setting the import units for the CAD drawing
- [Instructor] So we're staying in our 02_Simple Building Project.rvt file, and I've left it in the state that it was at the end of the previous video where we did the undo to remove the imported CAD file. What we're going to look at now is setting the units for the imported CAD file. Now, your units are normally controlled in the manage tab in the Revit ribbon here. So if I go here, and jump into settings and click on units there, there's my project units. Now you'll notice, all of my units are obviously metric because I'm in the UK, and we work with metric millimeters, meters squared, meters cubed, and so on. So obviously, we want to make sure that if we're bringing in our CAD drawing, it needs to come in with the same units. So I'll just cancel the project units dialogue box. I'll go back to the insert tab there on the ribbon. Again, import panel, import CAD, like so.
