- [Narrator] In this video, we're going to talk about selection. Revit offers us many different ways that we can make selections of elements. And since selection is the first step of most modification tools, then it's definitely a skill that you want to get quite comfortable with. Now, I've got a simple floor plan here on screen. And we're going to use this just as a backdrop to help us practice selection. So by far, the simplest way to select things is to just simply click on them. So if I come over here on screen, and I click on this wall on the left, you'll see the wall highlight on screen in this bluish color, and then you'll see a few changes on the ribbon. So to deselect it, you click an empty whitespace. And notice that we're on the architecture tab by default, and the properties palette says floor plan.
