- [Instructor] This might be one of the most important videos you watch. Nearly everything you do in Revit is going to start with a selection of some kind. So in order to be efficient working in the software you need to absolutely master selection. So in this video I'm going to talk about a variety of ways that you can build selections. Now, the first way to make selections is the simplest, and we already know what to do. You just simply click on an object and select it. Now if I move over and click on a second object, what you'll notice is, it actually de-selects the first one in favor of the second one. So what that illustrates is that each time you click, you're actually building an entirely new selection in Revit. That means that if you click an empty white space, it's going to de-select everything. And again, if you think of it in those terms, I'm building a new selection of nothing. So, because I clicked an empty space, there was nothing there, it completely de-selects it. Now…
