- [Instructor] In this video, I'm going to dig a little deeper into the room bounding feature. Now, what we've seen so far is that when you place rooms they will automatically conform to the shape of surrounding walls. And in cases where you don't have any walls you can use these room separators to subdivide a space into multiple rooms. But what about situations where you have walls that are there, but you actually don't want them to bound a room. Now at first you may be thinking, when would I ever want to do that? But let me try and give you a scenario. So what I'm going to do is zoom over to this bedroom over here. And when I locate the room and select it if we take a look at the properties palette you can see that its current area is about 150 square feet. But notice that it does not include the neighboring closet. Now you could certainly put another room in that closet if you want it to quantify it separately.…
