Revit families

- If you're a new user in Revit, or are starting to become advanced, you probably immediately notice that it's the families that drive the model, and basically everything else within the Revit world. You may also notice that trying to learn families can be frustrating. That being said, this course is not intended to cover every single little thing about families. It is intended to get you comfortable with the fundamentals of family creation. No big words or insane formulas, this four chapter course dials into the necessities. Hi, I'm Eric Wing, and I have over 20 years experience in the engineering, architectural, construction and training industries. In this LinkedIn Learning course, we'll cover families that are designed to get you started quickly using the family editor. First, we'll start with basic profile shapes. You'll learn how to add reference planes, dimensions, and how to add parameters to those dimensions. We will cover a pretty cool Door family, an In Place family, and a Parametric Line-based family. We will cover yes/no parameters and If Statements, as well. So, if you're looking to hit the ground running with families, I'm here to help you. Let's get started.
