- [Paul] Hello, my name is Paul F. Aubin, and I'm thrilled to be here with you to discuss the Collaboration for Revit toolset. If you use Revit in an office environment with other Revit users, then you're probably already familiar with worksharing. Worksharing enables multiple users to access, and make changes to, a single Revit project simultaneously. Collaboration for Revit, or C4R, can be thought of as extending worksharing to the Cloud. In this course, we'll explore how using C4R allows you and a team of coworkers to store your central model in a central, cloud-based hub and work on it as if it was stored right there on your local server.
This makes it easy for firms with distributed teams across multiple physical offices to work together seamlessly. Best of all, the functionality of C4R leverages Autodesk's cloud-based team sharing solution called BIM 360 Team. This means that your Revit models and other associated project files can be made accessible to all stakeholders, including internal users, clients, and other external consultants. Now there is a lot to configure, but don't let the setup of BIM 360 Team and C4R intimidate you.
