Refining a layout with temporary dimensions

- If you watched the previous video then you were probably struck by the fact that I didn't really pay too much attention to where we were placing the gridlines. I just simply placed them in approximately the locations where I wanted them to go. This underscores a very important concept in Revvit. Revitt is a sketch based program. And what I mean by that is it's designed around this notion that you sketch things out roughly at first and then you come back and slowly refine them as you learn more information. So I like to refer to that as progressive refinement , or sketch, then modify. So what we did in the previous video was we sketched in the location of all of our column grids. And what we're going to do in this video is modify the locations of those grids to more precise locations based on new design information that we now know. So to do that, we're going to take advantage of a feature called temporary dimensions.…
