Positioning the CAD drawing upon import

- [Instructor] Once again, we're staying in our 02_Simple Building Project.rvt file. And you can see it's blank, because we did an undo in the previous video, we cleared out the previous imported CAD file. Now, what we're going to look at is positioning our CAD file when we import it into the Revit model. How does that work? So, obviously when you're working in Revit, there's a set of coordinates that you have. When you're working in AutoCAD creating the DWG file that you're going to bring in, there's also a set of coordinates. So what can you do? Can you link those coordinates together? Can you make sure that they use the same coordinates, perhaps the origin for example? Well, yes you can. It's very quick and easy. So I'm going to jump to the Insert tab on the Revit ribbon, back into the Import panel, and click on Import CAD. Select my ground floor plan, like we've done in the previous videos, and what I'm going to do is I'm going to select my colors as Black and White, Layers…
