Placing lights at a vaulted ceiling
and then click on the lighting fixture. I'm going to click here on the type selector list and then we can take a look at this plain surface lighting fixture. Now, immediately, it may seem a little bit odd to be using a surface mounted lighting fixture on something like a vaulted ceiling. The reason is is that normally a surface mount will follow the direction of the slope of that vault. In other words, if I had placed this you would think that it would actually be right on the face of the vaulted ceiling and at an angle. And while it can be, if I select on any one of those sizes, I do want to point out that there's also an option here to place on work plain. That could be something on the lines of a level, or a reference plain that you've drawn into the scene, or something along those lines. Because you have that flexibility with surface mounted fixtures, that means that you can actually specify exactly where you want it…
