Placing lights at a flat ceiling

- [Instructor] Let's place light fixtures throughout the building, starting with the basement, and then moving up floor by floor. In our unit A, we first need to just click inside of the view, which will be a ceiling plan view. And then zoom into this area. Now, it's important to know that right now, there's not a ceiling inside of this area. In fact, it's just considered an unfinished area. Because it's considered an unfinished area, and does not have a ceiling, that means that we can not use ceiling mounted fixtures in these areas. 'Cause if there's no ceiling, there's nothing to actually mount that fixture to. So what we need to do is use what would be considered a surface mounted fixture down here in the lower level. Come up here to Systems, then find your Electrical. One of your options will be Lighting Fixtures. Click on Lighting Fixtures. Here on the type selector list, scroll up and take a look at the fixtures that you currently have loaded here into the project. Let's go with…
