Placing footings
- [Instructor] The next thing that we need to do will be 24 inches by eight inches deep. In this case, you can see it would be underneath the structural column. So let's select on Wall. Then, underneath Properties, if we click where it has this Wall Foundation Bearing Footing 36 by 12, we can see that currently there is only two footings loaded into this project, and neither one of those are the exact size and neither one of those are the exact size that we need in order to support the walls up above. So what I plan on doing is coming up here to where it says this Bearing Footing, and then clicking on Edit Type. Select on Duplicate. And for the name, I'm just going to call this footing to be Footing dash 24 by eight. So I'm changing the 36 to be a 24, and then the 12 to be an eight, and then getting rid of that two that was there at the end. The two was put there just to say that there was two copies of this bearing footing, but now…
