Placing detail components
- [Instructor] In this video, let's take a look at 2D detail components. Now realistically, you could build an entire construction detail using just detail lines, filled regions, and masking regions, but there's a lot of components that you would create in that detail that are repetitive that we would see in multiple details. flashing, insulation, and it's possible to create many of those components as reusable, 2D detail families. And just like model-based families where you can have a library of families that you can load into a project and use from one project to a next, detailed component families allow us to do the same thing. So the software, of course, comes with a large library of 2D detail components that we can make use of, So in this video what we're going to do is start with some of the 2D detail components that I currently have loaded, a simple wall partition-type detail.
