Placing the CAD drawing in the model
- [Narrator] Once again, we're staying in our 02 simple building project rvt file and it's a nice, clean, empty rvt project right now. Because we undid the last import CAD file exercise. So in the last video we did the undo, cleared the import CAD file. So we've got a nice, clean rvt project to work on. And what we're going to look at now is placing our CAD file in the rvt model. Now you can place it at a different datum level in the rvt model, as well. Don't confuse that word level with the layers and levels that come in when you import the CAD drawing, either. We're talking datum levels in the rvt model. So we're talking, when we look in the project browser, at levels like this, zero zero ground, zero one first, and so on. What I'd like you to do, before you import any CAD file this time, is double click on 01 first, to make that your current floor plan view. So we're now at first floor level.
