- [Instructor] Fascia board usually goes along the outside edge of your roof. To place fascia board, you first need to go to the architecture tab on the ribbon, then find your roof tool. for the kind of fascia board that we want to install on this building. If for some reason we wanted to have a different size fascia board, what we could do is either modify the family or come in here to edit type and then right here where you had the profile shape, you would make a duplicate, give it a new name for that fascia board. so you could load in a different profile shape from the profile folder and be able to create a fascia board which happens If we go to doing a rendering by clicking on By Category by spinning the wheel of my mouse. And now, this next part's important. Do not click on the bottom line of the roof. the bottom of your roof edge. Click once and if we zoom in, you can see it's now put a fascia board in this location.
