Join Eric Wing for an in-depth discussion in this video Pitching floors to structure, part of Revit Structure 2016 Essential Training.
- With our framing pitching all over the place…it would be nice if we could just kind of…drape a floor over the top of it, right?…Well, we can.…This video has us selecting a concrete floor…then modeling it over the top of some sloped framing.…It'll start the slope,…but we're gonna have to pick some additional supports…to make it look right.…To get started I'm gonna jump into my slopes slabs model…that I just created.…I'm gonna change some settings though in my 3D view,…so I'm gonna type vg, I'm gonna go to…Analytical Model categories,…I'm gonna click all,…and I'm gonna uncheck everything.…
I'm gonna click Okay.…Now I'm gonna go to level two.…I'm gonna go to my Structure tab…and I'm gonna click the Floor button.…For Floor Generic 300…I'm gonna click on Edit Type…and I'm gonna duplicate that,…I'm just gonna call it Generic 152 Concrete.…And I'm gonna click Okay.…Under my structure I'm gonna click Edit…and my Thickness is gonna be 152,…and my Material is gonna be Concrete Cast-in-Place gray.…
I'm gonna click Okay.…I'm gonna hit Okay,…
