Phasing

- [Voiceover] I'd like to talk about phasing in Revit. Gone are the days when we could just build a new building out in the middle of a field somewhere. Generally most of our projects are going to be some kind of rehabilitation. So I'd like to discuss how Revit deals with phasing. So to get started, I want to jump into Structure 55, then I'd like to go to the Manage tab, and I want to come down to Phases right here, so click on Phases. Now the way I look at it is I have three phases. This is not construction sequencing . You can go to my Navisworks Essential Training for construction sequencing. For Revit, I see phasing as three parts: existing, demolition, and new construction. It's understood that some firms set it up a bit different, but I like to do existing, demolition, and new construction. So here's what I'd like to do.
