- [Instructor] Once you've laid down some of your reference planes in a model family, the next thing you typically want to do is start controlling the behavior of those reference planes, and there's two essential ways we can do that, either with constraints or parameters. In this video, we're going to begin creating the constraints and parameters that we need to control the family behavior. So let me switch back over here to Revit and continue on with my file. If your screen doesn't look exactly like mine, you can make sure that you have the four windows that I have open, open, and then just do window tile to get them tiled up on-screen. All right, these reference planes at the moment that are here can go anywhere I want. So if I grabbed hold of this right edge here and just sort of dragged it, notice that it's free to move anywhere without any restriction. I'm going to go Control + Z to undo that.
